HOHYOYA festival at Hakozakigu is the biggest Autumn Festival in Kyusyu.
This festival originally started as the ceremony of releasing captive animals.
Now, this festival is also held to give thanks for autumn harvest.
About 500 stalls attract you a lot!
Let’s buy Hakata Champon (a toy made of glass) and a set of Ohajiki (marbles) as a souvenir.

The festival period: September 12th – 18th
Time: 10am – about 8 or 9 pm
Venue: Hakozakigu Shrine
Access:
Take JR train from Hakata station and get off at “Hakozaki” station.(5min, 200yen)
About 5min walk from the station to Hakozakigu Shrine.
